Tower Logging:
A method of logging that uses a yarder machine (a tall “tower” with a host of cables to secure it). The yarder allows hard to reach logs be reached from long distances and steep terrain. The person who runs the yarder is a yarder engineer. The crew who sets the chokers around the logs are called choker setters.
